After racking up a slew of captivating collaborations with a host of local hip-hop and R&B notables, budding golden-voiced Nashville soul singer Kiya Lacey is stepping out of the shadows with Fail in Love, her debut EP. Years in the making, the release is a thoughtfully conceived set of well-crafted cuts smoothed out by Murfreesboro production duo The Wonder Twins (actual identical twins), who produced four of the EPs six tracks. Though typically known for helming hip-hop productions, the duo's dreamy, neo-soul stylings translate naturally here, partly because Lacey draws as much influence from hip-hop as the twins do from R&B.
