Nashville, Tennessee native, Kiya Lacey is a singer songwriter driven by R&B roots blending electro-pop, trip hop, and avant garde vocals. Her transparent lyrics touch on love, loss, and exhibit a candidness that has helped garner her a loyal audience in a short time. She released her debut EP “Fail In Love” in the spring of 2015. The project created a city wide buzz that led to recognition in Paper Magazine’s top 10 rising artists from Tennessee. In 2017 Kiya was the first woman to be selected on Nashville’s Red Bull Sound Select roster, which led to a performance slot during their 30 Days in Chicago festival with an exclusive song premiere as the official commercial. Her second EP, “Earth Wind & Fire” channeled dark vocals and female empowered lyrics. Shortly after, I-D Magazine premiered a tempo shifting record, “Runaway”. Lacey’s melodic blending and vocal structures have bridged a unique lane leading to features on tracks with TOKiMonsta and Monte Booker. December of 2017 Kiya landed her first magazine cover on Native Magazine Issue 66.  In May of 2018, British Airlines commemorated their new direct flights from London to Nashville by tapping Kiya to represent “Music City” in their in-flight magazine, High Life. She has opened for the likes of Brandy, Sabrina Claudio, Doja Cat, Xavier Omar, Oddisee, Melo-X, Bilal, Big Freedia, and many more. To date, Kiya has amassed over 1.2 million song streams.
